A tractor trailer fire caused the shutdown of a busy road in Hicksville for about an hour on Tuesday morning, police said.

Nassau County police said no one was injured.

A tractor trailer fire caused the shutdown of a busy road in Hicksville for about an hour on Tuesday morning, police said.

Nassau County police said no one was injured.

The cab of a tractor trailer dump truck caught fire near the intersection of Duffy Avenue and Charlotte Avenue.

It was reported in a 911 call at 8:44 a.m., police said.

Police said the incident closed the streets, located just east of the Wantagh State Parkway, for about an hour. It also closed access from Old Country Road, police said.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
