The body of a man that has washed ashore on Jones Beach appears to be that of a missing Queens Village swimmer, his brother said Friday morning.
"From what we've been told, they have been able to identify that it is my brother," said Obed Eugene, 23, also of Queens Village.

Theodore Eugene Jr., 22, was swept away May 26 while taking a dip with two friends in the area where the body was found, near the Central Mall and Field 4.
Police were notified that the body had washed ashore at 5:25 p.m. Thursday, police said.
Eugene said State Park police called him Thursday evening to tell him that they were trying to use fingerprints to identify the body, but "based on physical description," they believed it was him.
"They said it seems to be him," Obed Eugene said.
A State Police spokesman said Friday morning efforts were still being made to identify the body.
The remains were taken to the Nassau County medical examiner's office, police said.
No lifeguards were on duty at the time Eugene drowned because the season hadn't officially started.
