Roslyn Heights swastikas a bias crime, Nassau police say
Nassau County police are investigating two swastikas drawn on North Hempstead traffic signs as a bias incident, authorities said Sunday.
A woman walking in Roslyn Heights on Saturday morning saw a swastika with the word "death" written in black marker on the back of a stop sign at the corner of Warner Avenue and Edwards Street, police said. She saw another swastika, drawn in black marker, on another sign down the block, Nassau police said.
