2 teen girls missing from MercyFirst facility, police say

One of three teenage girls reported missing in February from a Syosset foster care facility has been located, Nassau County police said Thursday.

AnaMaria Guzman, 15, has been located, police said in a news release Thursday. She had last been seen leaving MercyFirst on foot at 1 a.m. Feb. 19.

Lillian Smith, 15, was last seen leaving MercyFirst on foot at 11:42 p.m. Feb. 19, according to police. Smith is 5-foot-4 and weighs 214 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes, police said.

Charisma Parker-Howard, also 15, left the Convent Road facility on foot about 20 minutes later, police said. She has brown eyes and black hair, is 5 feet tall and weighs 129 pounds.

MercyFirst is a nonprofit human services organization that serves children, teens and families in crisis, according to its website. Officials from the agency did not respond to a request for comment in February.

Investigators do not know if the disappearances of the three girls are linked, a police spokeswoman said.
