Long Island Expressway westbound in Plainview reopens after crash

Nassau County police reported all lanes of the westbound Long Island Expressway were reopened after being temporarily blocked Wednesday evening due to a crash in Plainview.

The crash was reported about 6:30 p.m. in the area of exit 46, near Sunnyside Boulevard, according to Nassau County Traffic Management.

Nassau County police reported all lanes of the westbound Long Island Expressway were reopened after being temporarily blocked Wednesday evening due to a crash in Plainview.

The crash was reported about 6:30 p.m. in the area of exit 46, near Sunnyside Boulevard, according to Nassau County Traffic Management.

Police had been advising motorists about 7:15 p.m. to use alternate routes.
