Smith Point, Cupsogue beaches closed after shark bites lifeguard

A lifeguard was bitten on Sunday during a training exercise at Smith Point Beach, according to Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone, and suffered chest and hand wounds, which were being treated at a hospital.
