A 24-year-old Lindenhurst man riding a motorcycle was killed Monday in Wyandanch after crashing into a pickup truck, Suffolk police said.

Matthew J. Grinvalsky was on a 1985 Honda motorcycle just after 11 a.m. and heading east on Long Island Avenue near Lake Drive when he crashed into the Ford pickup, police said. The driver of the truck, Rene M. Iraheta, 52, of Wyandanch, was attempting a left turn from Lake Drive to west Long Island Avenue at the time of the crash, according to police

Grinvalsky was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Suffolk County Medical Examiner's office, police said. Iraheta was not injured.

Both vehicles were impounded for a safety check, police said.
