A bicyclist was injured in a crash with a box truck Wednesday on the border of Coram and Medford, Suffolk County police said.

Police said the collision happened shortly before 1 p.m. at the intersection of Route 112 and Granny Road and that the biclyclist was injured.

However a police spokeswoman declined to identify the victim or the driver because she said the bicyclist’s injuries were “not life-threatening” and because there were no charges filed against the driver.

The spokewoman said the delivery truck was traveling southbound on Route 112 when it struck the bicyclist who was attempting to Route 112 eastbound at Granny Road. She added the victim was taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center.i

A photograph shows the box truck is from the Central Islip-based Barnwell House of Tires. A representative from the company could not be reached for comment.
