Two drivers injured in Centereach collision, Suffolk police say

Two drivers were injured Sunday morning in a two-vehicle crash on Route 25 under the overpass at Nicolls Road in Centereach, Suffolk police said.
The crash occurred shortly before 7 a.m. when a vehicle driven by an unidentified woman turned left from the exit ramp of northbound Nicolls Road onto westbound Route 25 and was hit by a vehicle driven by an unidentified man heading eastbound on Route 25, police said.

The woman was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of a leg injury, police said, and the other driver was taken to an unnamed hospital for evaluation. Both drivers were alone in their vehicles.
No additional information about the crash was immediately available.
