Steve O'Neill was 3-for-5 with six RBIs, including a three-run home run in the third inning, and Mike Maloney was 4-5 with two RBIs.

Herricks 4, Mepham 1: Senior lefthander Alex Katz struck out a career-high 16 batters and allowed three hits and one earned run in the complete game for Herricks (1-9) in Conference AA-III. Danny Christodoulou went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and two RBIs and Tej Joshi went 2-for-4 with an RBI.Floral Park 9, North Shore 3: Kevin Lao's two-run home run in the bottom of the fifth gave Floral Park (6-6) a 5-3 lead in Conference A-V. Mark Re went 3-for-4.

Great Neck South 10, Elmont 5: Matt Hirshon's bases loaded walk in the top of the ninth broke a tie at five and ignited a five-run inning for Great Neck South (9-1) in the Countywide Conference.

Bay Shore 1, West Islip 0: Greg Weissert's walk-off single scored Tyler White in the eighth and junior Kyle Cassidy had an eight-inning shutout with six strikeouts in his first varsity start for Bay Shore (9-4) in League II.

Sachem East 8, Central Islip 3: Anthony Telesca threw a one-hitter with eight strikeouts, no walks and no earned runs to lead Sachem East (7-6). Dan Hetzel went 2-for-4 with three RBIs.

Eastport-South Manor 8, Deer Park 5: Sean Doyle's two-run single in the top of the seventh broke a tie at 5 for Eastport-South Manor (14-1) in League V. Mat Annunziata hit an RBI single to tie the game earlier in the inning after Deer Park's Niko Artale hit a two-out, two-RBI double to put Deer Park up 5-3 in the bottom of sixth.

Sayville 7, Rocky Point 5: Michael Rahn's sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth scored Tom Dieckhoff to break a tie at 5 and lead Sayville (10-5) in League VI. Ryan Aloise pitched seven innings, striking out 10 and allowing one earned run.

Shoreham-Wading River 7, Glenn 0: Michael O'Reilly threw a complete game two-hit shutout with 13 strikeouts to lead Shoreham-Wading River (11-4) in League VII. Sean Logan went 2-for-2 with three RBIs. SWR clinches a playoff berth for the 27th consecutive year, according to coach Sal Mignano.

SOFTBALL

Comsewogue 3, Shoreham-Wading River 2: Down 2-1 in the bottom of the seventh, Noelle Noble hit a walk-off two-run single to score Brooke Raia and Jess Schwartz and lead Comsewogue (5-7) in a League V/VI crossover. Schwartz went 2-for-3 with a double and a run and Alisha Dovicsak added a solo home run.

Islip 9, Westhampton 2: Erika Colangelo was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs to lead Islip (10-2). Faith Laudano and Vanessa Juengerkes hit back-to-back home runs in the sixth inning to give Islip a 5-2 lead. Laudano finished 3-for-3 with a stolen base, and Juengerkes was 2-for-3 and added a double.

Longwood 2, Sachem East 1: Sierra Noud worked out of a bases-loaded, no out jam in the top of the seventh by getting a double play and Leah Mele made a diving catch at second to end it for Longwood (10-1) in League I. Alyssa Corona fielder's choice drove in the go-ahead run in the fourth.

Lindenhurst 9, Patchogue-Medford 5: Jessica Sholl went 4-for-4 with a home run to lead Lindenhurst (7-5) in a League I/II crossover.

Island Trees 9, Clarke 2: Alannah Basile threw a complete game with 10 strikeouts, two hits and one earned run to lead Island Trees (9-1) in Conference ABC-I. Basile also went 2-for-4 with a double, a two-run home run, and three RBIs.

Garden City 4, Division 3: Katherine Vaughn hit an infield single to score Nicole Storz to win the game for Garden City (6-4) with one out in the ninth in Conference ABC-III. Victoria D'Antone went 2-for-4 with a three-RBI double in the sixth to tie the game at 3.

Oyster Bay 6, Mineola 5: Lauren Burke's RBI single with two outs in the seventh won it for Oyster Bay (4-6) in Conference BC. Jackie Romeo's two-run single with one out in the inning plated two runs to tie the game at 5.

Our Lady of Mercy 5, St. Dominic 4: Kasey Harrington's RBI single with two outs in the seventh won it for Mercy (9-7) in CHSAA. Kristy Boody's RBI double in the fifth tied the game at 4. Boody went 3-for-3.
