Suffolk County police on Saturday arrested a Lake Ronkonkoma woman who they say fled the scene of a deadly vehicle crash that killed two pedestrians in Holtsville earlier this week.

Johanna Iovino, 30, was held overnight Saturday at the Fourth Precinct and arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Sunday, where she pleaded not guilty to two counts of leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death, according to her attorney, Scott B. Zerner of Manhattan.

Iovino did not post bail at $100,000 cash, $200,000 bond or $1 million partial secured bond.

"We're in the beginning stages of investigating the incident," Zerner told Newsday on Sunday.

The crash, which occurred Wednesday, killed Robert Kehlenbeck, 46, of Selden, and Ryan Walker, 37, of Holtsville. The two men were working on a 1989 F-150 pickup at 5:30 p.m. outside Walker’s home on Express Drive South when police said they were hit by a sedan on the two-lane frontage road next to the Long Island Expressway near Ocean Avenue.

The vehicle sped away after the crash, police said.

Kehlenbeck and Walker were taken by ambulance to Stony Brook University Hospital. Walker was declared dead Wednesday. Kehlenbeck was pronounced dead Saturday morning, police said.
