Memories of Ann McGovern
Golfing buddy remembers Ann
I was one of the golfers who were fortunate enough to have played golf with Ann a number of times at the Hamlet Wind Watch golf course. She was delightful to play with and she clearly loved being out on the golf course. I, and the others in my regular group, miss her very much.

We play in a regular foursome at Hamlet Wind Watch on Saturday mornings. On many occasions one of our group does not play so there is an opening. Annie played with our foursome one Saturday and we all had such a good time that she requested to play with our group on any Saturday that we had an opening. We did this over several years and enjoyed her company, as she did ours. When I first heard of the 9/11 disaster that morning, one of my first thoughts was of Annie, because I know she worked in the Towers. Regrettably she was taken from her family, and us, her golf family, much too soon, but we will always remember her with fond and loving thoughts.

I will always remember Ann and her incredible energy. I work at a medical office and Ann was a patient. She was always in a hurry to "make that train." Although always in a hurry, she was kind and thoughtful and we had wonderful conversations about our families and her passion, which was golf.
Rest in peace dear Ann - you were loved by all who came to know you.
