Memories of Michelle Titolo
Sister: She was 'an angel'
Born May 25, 1967 - September 11, 2011
Michelle was raised by a single mother (Pamela LeMaster) with her sister (Kim Jelley). They didn't have a posh childhood, but Michelle loved life and made due with everything she had. Michelle was a business woman from the very get go, having a paper route at a young age. Even being hit by someone backing out of their driveway didn't deter Michelle from stepping out in the world to make something better of herself.
She put herself through college originally for a law degree, but taking a job at a local bank gave her the itch to work in the world of finance. Michelle had just closed on her first home and was redoing the floors the night before the 9/11 attacks. That was the last time anyone had heard from her, but everyone who talked with her remembers her being her usually, bubbly self, so proud of her new house and job.
Michelle was the kind of person who would take her shirt off her back for someone if they needed it. I can remember a Christmas where Michelle didn't have a whole lot of money and she clothes-pinned $5 bills to the Christmas tree so everyone in our family could get something and how she spent nearly her whole paycheck to help our youngest sister, Tara Lurie, learn to read with Hooked on Phonics.
She was one of the truly genuine and wonderful people ever to grace this Earth, an angel among men and women ... While we mourn the loss of her with the heaviest of hearts, we count ourselves blessed to have known her.
She was survived by a family that loves her.
