Losing our 'only nephew'

On that day, 9/11, my husband Dave and I were having breakfast. I went to look at the news and saw the towers falling down. I immediately saw the towers falling down I yelled because I knew it was Tommy. My husband ran in and we were shocked. Instead of going back to Long Island, we stayed to call all the hospitals in upstate New Jersey. We then went to my sister's as did my children. We decided to call his cell phone and it was still on. We were hoping that was a good sign. but no.

Tommy was our only nephew. we celebrated all holidays together. He was very energetic. He excelled in gymnastics and won a NYS contest. When he went to college, it was time lost with our family as it is when kids go out of state. He came back and worked with Mark & Stephen Colaio.

[On] the 8th and 9th of September, my daughter and husband had a cousin party here in N.J. That was the last time we saw Tommy.

Fraternity brothers toast him often

Thomas Pedicini was a fraternity brother of mine at the University of Pittsburgh. Tom was a great guy. He is sorely missed by his many friends in the fraternity and we always make sure to toast Tom's memory any time we get together. Tom also was the first person to encourage me to learn to play guitar, I still play to this very day and think of him often.
