Westbury-based 1-800-Flowers.com will soon make it easier to order flowers from your mobile phone, the company said Wednesday morning.

The retailer has announced it will use an upcoming mobile application by Atlanta-based Firethorn Holdings Llc., a subsidiary of Qualcomm Inc.

The application, called Swagg, allows customers to purchase, personalize and exchange gift cards from a mobile device and provide access to account information, special offers and loyalty programs. It is expected to be available in time for this year’s holiday season.

Jim McCann, chief executive of 1-800-Flowers.com, said in a statement, “The Swagg mobile application offers our customers a unique and powerful way to purchase.”

Chip Fishburne, vice president of financial and merchant services at Firethorn, said, “Our collaboration with 1-800-Flowers.com will bring consumers who live and transact in the mobile world the convenience of ordering right from their mobile device.”
