Cynthia Harden and David Schessel

Dr. Cynthia L. Harden, left, has joined North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center as chief of the comprehensive epilepsy care institute with the hospitals’ department of neurology. The Manhattan resident directed the International Center for Epilepsy at the University of Miami Health System.

Dr. David A. Schessel, right, has been named chief of the division of otolaryngology-head and neck surgery, known as the ear, nose and throat service, at Stony Brook University Medical Center. The associate professor of surgery has been serving as acting chief since 2008 and is a Lake Grove resident.
