2 executives join local hospitals

Dan A. Macksood, left, has been appointed regional senior vice president and chief financial officer for Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center, St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center and St. Charles Hospital, all properties under Catholic Health Services of Long Island. Until recently, Macksood was chief financial officer and senior vice president at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. He has relocated to Huntington.

Dr. Derick T. George, right, has been named director of the department of anesthesiology at John T. Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson. The Poquott resident also serves in a similar capacity at St. Charles Hospital and is a founder and assistant managing partner at Long Island Anesthesia Physicians in Rocky Point.
