2 new roles in health profession

Richard A. Rivera has been promoted to vice president, administration at Winthrop-University Hospital in Mineola. He has been with the hospital for 40 years and most recently served as assistant vice president, administration. He is a Garden City resident.

Dr. Vincent W. Yang has been named chair of the department of medicine at the Stony Brook University School of Medicine. He was tapped from the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia where he was the R. Bruce Logue professor of medicine and director of the division of digestive diseases. He will be relocating to Long Island.
