$23M defense contract to Northrop Grumman's Bethpage unit

The Defense Department will funnel $23 million to Northrop Grumman Corp.'s Bethpage unit for equipment used to maintain early warning aircraft, the agency announced.
The Bethpage unit was allocated 40 percent of a $57.5 million contract for upkeep of the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye aircraft with the remainder going to Northrop's unit in Melbourne, Florida.
Work on the contract from the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division in Lakehurst, New Jersey, is expected to be completed in January 2018.
