Monroe Hale has been elected president of Long Islanders for Families & Youth. Hale is director of the residential treatment center at Little Flower Children and Family Services of New York in Wading River, and lives in the upstate community of New Hampton on weekends.
 
Joseph G. Milizio, managing partner at the Lake Success law firm of Vishnick McGovern Milizio, was appointed to the New York State Bar Association Special Committee on LGBT (Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender) People and the Law. He is a Fort Salonga resident.
