Dr. Philip Schrank, Calvin O. Butts III and Dr. Leonard A. Benedict

Dr. Philip Schrank of Setauket, left, was named chairman of the medical board and president of the medical staff of St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson. He is an orthopedic surgeon in private practice.

Calvin O. Butts III, center, has been elected to serve as director of The Levin Institute in Manhattan, which conducts research and engages in public discourse on the dynamics of the global economy and the impact of such on the state and nation. He is president of SUNY College at Old Westbury, where he lives.

Dr. Leonard A. Benedict of Dix Hills, right, has been named to the New York State Maternal & Child Health Block Grant Advisory Council. He is chairman and associate professor of obstetrics and gynecology at New York College of Osteopathic Medical School and attending and assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset.
