3 new health care hires

John T. Mather Memorial Hospital announced two hires. Phil Messina, left, has been named director of nursing emergency services. The Commack resident was assistant vice president operations/administrative director of emergency and peri-operative services at Brookhaven Memorial Medical Center. Stuart Vincent, center, joined the hospital as director of public relations. He was assistant vice president for university relations at Hofstra University and lives in Sound Beach.

Deborah Johnson-Schiff, right, has joined The North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System as vice president of strategy and business development for its physician and ambulatory network services. The Dix Hills resident was senior vice president of administration at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola.
