Three Long Island manufacturers will open their doors Friday to the public as part of National Manufacturing Day.

The nationwide event helps educate the public about local manufacturing and also aids in connecting manufacturers with business owners in hopes of more collaboration. The open houses on Long Island are being organized by the Long Island Forum for Technology.
