A $30-million plan to revamp the former Canon U.S.A. headquarters in Lake Success is seeking tax breaks from Nassau County, records show.
The county’s industrial development agency is expected Wednesday morning to consider an application for property tax relief from WE’RE Associates Co. for 1-3 Dakota Dr. and 4 Ohio Dr., together called Lake Success Quadrangle.
The property served as Canon’s headquarters for decades; this spring, the company moved to new offices in Melville. WE’RE plans more parking spaces and improvements to the buildings’ heating, air-conditioning and electrical systems as well the lobbies, roofs and bathrooms, officials said.
The IDA’s board of directors also will consider aid packages for the Bayview Manor nursing home in Island Park and the Bical Chevrolet of Valley Stream.
