Marie Beninati, center, has been named board president of San Simeon by the Sound Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation in Greenport. The Peconic resident is president of Beninati Associates Real Estate in Southold.
 
Marianne E. Van Duyne, right, has been appointed to the board of the New York State School District Internal Auditing Alliance. The Smithtown resident is a partner at the Islandia accounting firm of R.S. Abrams & Co.
 
The American Heart Association has named two new members to its Long Island board of directors. Manhattan resident Jeffrey Bernstein, president and chief executive of The Archstone Group in Manhattan, has been named chairman. Northport resident Cindy McLoughlin, a partner and office business line leader at BDO Seidman in Melville, has been named vice chairman.
