Merrick, the Hollywood of Long Island? Maybe, according to the celeb gossip site TMZ.
TMZ alerts investors to a new financial opportunity -- getting in on the ground floor of a movie project planned by Lindsay Lohan's mother, Dina.
The Merrick show-biz mom "apparently thinks she's Dina De Laurentiis . . . because she's telling investors she can snag some of the biggest actors in Hollywood for her new movie," TMZ reports.
"TMZ has obtained a copy of the business plan Dina's sending to prospective financiers -- asking for a grand total of $5.28 million to shoot an R-rated film called 'Growing Defiant' -- which takes 'a hard look at the social pressures that can lead a kid in the wrong direction,' " the website says, adding a bemused "Hmmm."
Dina Lohan plans to cast Michael Lohan Jr. as the central character, a heroin addict. She'll also recruit Dakota Fanning, Selena Gomez, Michael Cera, James Gandolfini, Susan Sarandon, Tina Fey, Amanda Seyfried, Hayden Panettiere, Emma Stone, and Mila Kunis. (Oh, by the way, only her son Michael has signed on so far.)
The TMZ kicker: "Dina Lohan -- a regular Bruckheimer, only easier to pronounce."
