Aceto Corp. names new operations chief
An executive at the Lake Success-based biochemical distributor Aceto Corp. has been promoted to vice president of international operations and international pharmaceutical strategy, the company said Thursday.
The executive, Jan Van Eis, joined Aceto in 2001 after it bought the distribution business of Schweizerhall Holdings. Before his promotion he had been the managing director of Aceto BV, which sells to the Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg and Scandinavian markets, since January 2007.
"Jan has done an excellent job as managing director of Aceto BV for the past three years," Vincent G. Miata, president and chief executive, said in a news release.
In addition to his day-to-day responsibilities for Aceto's non-U.S. sales subsidiaries, Van Eis will help develop a coordinated pharmaceutical business strategy for Aceto in Europe and Southeast Asia.
