May the flight be with you.
The newest jet from the Tokyo-based airline All Nippon Airways will be styled like the "Star Wars" character R2-D2. It is set for takeoff this fall. The company said it plans to paint one of its new Boeing 787s with the squeaky droid's signature blue and white stripes and other markings.
The launch of the jet is the beginning of a five-year Star Wars Project, which All Nippon describes as part of a “range of novel initiatives” from now to 2020, the ANA website says.
This year is expected to bring the Star Wars series back to the forefront with the arrival of “Star Wars: Episode VII -- The Force Awakens” in theaters in December.
