Major food and drink makers turn to Comax Flavors of Melville for its expertise in aroma and taste -- for example, when they want to mask the aftertaste of an artificial sweetener, or make a packaged low-salt meal more palatable.
Now, to improve its own operations, Comax has turned to another Long Island company for help streamlining its manufacturing process.
Ronkonkoma-based Vormittag Associates Inc. (known as VAI) has contracted with Comax to “automate and track the usage of material and labor, greatly improving production time and reducing errors.”
VAI’s software, S2K Enterprise, will help the flavor and aroma maker improve customer and supplier interactions through its website and the Internet, VAI said in a news release.
