Ann Taylor Stores Corp., up $2.36 to $15.75
The women's apparel retailer said fourth-quarter earnings will be "substantially higher" than a year ago and surpass expectations.
Alcoa Inc., up 31 cents to $13.67
Alcoa said its engineered products division will be realigned and that there are now two new chief operating officers.
Advanced Micro Devices Inc., down 7 cents to $7.91
Goldman Sachs added AMD to its "Conviction Sell List," predicting more sizable losses for the chip maker this year.
Cummins Inc., up $4.15 to $51.09
The engine manufacturer a slight increase in sales for 2010 and "similar" earnings, but said the first half of the year will be choppy.
Lexmark International Inc., up $3.21 to $30.01
Cost cutting helped boost the printer and copier maker's fourth-quarter profit, beating Wall Street forecasts.
Pepsi Bottling Group Inc., up 23 cents to $37.86.
Pepsi Bottling Group, which is being purchased by PepsiCo Inc., reported a profit as the company cut costs to offset flat sales.
Hershey Co., up 39 cents to $37.20
Hershey said higher prices helped boost its profit and it will continue to look for potential acquisitions as competitors get bigger.
Achillion Pharmaceuticals Inc., up 28 cents to $2.70
The company said it entered a partnership to develop and sell its hepatitis B and HIV drug candidate in China and other territories.
