Tile workers' union recruiting for 16 apprenticeships
The Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee for Local 7 of the Tile, Marble and Terrazzo union will begin taking applications on Monday for 16 apprenticeships, officials said.
Applications can be obtained at the International Masonry Institute, 12-07 44th Ave., Long Island City, Queens, from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., Monday through Friday and Nov. 14-18.
Forms must be completed in-person and a Basic Assessment Skills Exam will be administered on the day of application.
Applicants should be 18 or older, have a high school diploma or its equivalent, be physically able to do the work, have reliable transportation and pass a drug test.
