Architects honored for renovation
A Southampton Village firm has won two architecture awards for its environmentally sound design for renovations at an East End home that had been destroyed by fire.
Flynn + Stott Architects won an Archi Award Commendation from the Long Island chapter of the American Institute of Architects. It also won a Residential Sustainability award sponsored by the Long Island Power Authority and Southampton-based Green Logic Energy LLC.
The architecture firm led the Hamptons Green Alliance restoration of the Dubin Family home in Southampton. The jury noted Flynn + Stott's "beautiful blend of sustainability and craftsmanship" in its AIA award decision, a news release said.
