-- The Nassau DA, above, said she had broken up a ring of mortgage scammers that had cheated banks, homeowners and the county out of $20 million. (Coverage included a photo gallery of the accused.)
-- It was a disappointing week for government data, with the state announcing that it’s employment estimates for recent months were overstated, and with signs that food and fuel costs were up significantly.
-- We found out the troubled nuclear plants in Japan had something in common with the shuttered plant in Shoreham.
-- Brookhaven National Lab touted its partnerships with small businesses on Long Island.
-- And a phrase long used by real estate agents has apparently fallen out of favor.
