Janus and Arrow

Arrow Electronics Inc., of Melville, has signed a distribution agreement with an Illinois maker of communications systems that monitor machines and track vehicles.

The devices allow wireless data transmissions with unmanned oil rigs, wind turbines and other machines, and with bus, truck or other vehicle fleets.

Under the terms of the agreement, Arrow will distribute Janus Remote Communications “machine to machine” (known as M2M) products in the Americas.

The M2M products are described as “cellular-enabled devices for data acquisition and telemetry, asset tracking, facility and equipment monitoring, smart utilities and security applications.”
