Arrow prepares for its Arrowfest tour

Melville-based Arrow Electronics Inc. has set the dates for its Arrowfest tour.
The series of events is held in six North American locations starting with Philadelphia on Sept. 8. Then comes Chicago on Sept. 15, Minnesota on Sept. 22, Silicon Valley on Oct. 6, Toronto on Oct. 13 and Boston on Oct. 27.
The tour is for Arrow customers and suppliers. It's the company's 23rd year in a row for the tour.
Arrow, with 12,700 employees worldwide and annual 2010 sales of $18.7 billion, is a supply channel for more than 115,000 original equipment manufacturers, contract manufacturers and commercial customers in more than 340 locations in 52 countries and territories.
". . . Arrowfest provides an opportunity to see the latest innovations in technology and build valuable relationships," the company says.
"Each Arrowfest includes technical seminars relevant to the local marketplace where attendees receive hands-on training while learning about the latest technologies."
