Long Island-area homeowners can meet with Bank of America mortgage specialists at an event next week in Uniondale.
The lender will provide information to customers interested in loan modifications, short sales and other options to avoid foreclosure during sessions between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. July 12 to 14, at the Long Island Marriott, 101 James Doolittle Blvd. More than 10,000 homeowners have been invited to attend.
Parking will be free. Bank of America customers should expect to spend two to three hours at the event, reviewing their file with a specialist to determine which options are available to them.
Registration is required. Homeowners can register at the bank's website or by calling 855-201-7426. The website lists the items homeowners must bring with them, including state-issued identification, a copy of their registration confirmation and certain mortgage documents.
Bank of America cannot offer assistance to homeowners who have signed a short sale agreement, according to the bank's website. Those homeowners may call 866-880-1232 for further information.
