Jericho-based Berdon Claims Administration Llc says it is indeed adding 50 new employees and doubling the square footage of its Long Island offices – however, the new office space will not be in Jericho.

The company on Monday gave more information about its expansion on Long Island, clarifying aspects of a Friday news release. It is expanding into 13,000 square feet of leased space at 625 Locust St. in Garden City.

Berdon oversees the technical details and logistics for class-action lawsuits and other complex legal matters.

The 50 new employees will work at the Garden City location, supplementing Berdon’s staff already at work on securities and consumer fraud, antitrust and discrimination class action lawsuits.
