Bethpage Federal Credit Union opens first campus branch at LIU Post

Bethpage Federal Credit Union has opened its first branch on a college campus at LIU Post in Brookville.

The branch employs two full-time employees and two part-timers who are LIU Post students getting hands-on training in how a bank operates and in basic personal budgeting and money management.

The students also will have opportunities to become summer interns at Bethpage's headquarters next year.

Five Bethpage ATMs also have been installed throughout the LIU Post campus, the credit union said.

A corporate partnership between Bethpage and Long Island University was announced in March, when Bethpage pledged $1.5 million for the naming rights to the new LIU Post Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium.
