Bovie Medical reports profts dip in 2009

Net income: Profit of $595,000, compared with profit of $1.8 million last year.
Net revenues: $27 million compared to $28 million a year ago.
Company statement: The decline in revenues during 2009 was primarily attributable to a general slowdown in purchasing by hospitals and physicians' offices caused by the current economy and political uncertainty surrounding the medical industry.
