A breakfast panel discussion focusing on women leaders and their role in businesses, nonprofits and government will take place Friday morning.

The event, which will be hosted by the Hauppauge Industrial Association, will begin at 8 a.m. and last two hours. During the panel, prominent local women leaders will discuss a range of issues from lifework balance to access to credit for businesses.

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) will give a presentation before the panel begins.

The talk will be moderated by Anne Shybunko-Moore, the president of GSE Dynamics in Hauppauge. The panelists are Katherine Heaviside, president of Epoch 5 Public Relations; Domenique Camacho Moran, a partner at law firm Farrell Fritz; Pravina Raghavan, district director of the Small Business Administration's New York office; and Angelique Siegfried, director of business tax services at Deloitte.

The event will take place at Direct Buy of Long Island at 20 Oser Ave. in Hauppauge. Those interested in attending can call Jackie Ridley at the HIA at 631-543-5355. The fee to attend will be $45 for HIA members and $75 for nonmembers.
