Is the nation headed for a double dip recession?

That's the subject of a lecture at the Hayground School, on Mitchell Lane in Bridgehampton, where the economist Lakshman Achuthan will speak Friday, Oct. 15 at 7 p.m.

The school suggests a donation of $20 and requests RSVPs at 631-537-7068.

Achuthan will talk about how understanding where you are in the business cycle gives you more control over your personal or business finances.

He is a co-founder and managing director of the Economic Cycle Research Institute, of Manhattan, which studies recession and recovery. (That's him on CNN, above left.)

"While most economic discussions can make you sleepy," a lecture news release says, "this one will help you sleep better."
