Briscoe Protective Systems Inc. of Centereach said Thursday it had obtained a line of credit from Suffolk County National Bank to finance the acquisitions of other companies to expand its business.

The amount of the "multimillion dollar" line of credit with the Riverhead-based bank was not specified.

The 35-year-old Briscoe designs, distributes and services fire and security alarm systems. It has 46 employees.

Company president Bob Williams declined, citing confidentiality agreements, to name the two companies he plans to acquire.
