Broadridge Financial Solutions Inc. has purchased a small accounting software business, the companies announced Wednesday.
The Lake Success-based provider of investor communications services bought QED Financial Systems of Marlton, New Jersey for an undisclosed amount.
QED has 47 employees who provide accounting services to institutional investors and managers.
Broadridge sends annual reports, proxy statements and other documents to investors on behalf of public companies. It also processes financial transactions. The company has more than 2,000 workers at two plants in Edgewood.
CORRECTION: The correct number of Broadridge employees is 2,000. The number was incorrect in previous versions of this story.
