The Miller Business Resource Center at the Middle Country Public Library will host several free events that are open to the public next week and early next month.
The business center will hold a seminar “LLCs, LLPs, DBAs & More: The Alphabet Soup of Entity Selection” on Sept. 26 from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the library, on 101 Eastwood Blvd. in Centereach.
Attendees will learn from a corporate attorney about the pros and cons of various entity types, and how to decide which makes sense for a business. The program will also address why so many businesses incorporate in Delaware. Advance registration is requested. To register, visit www.millerbusinesscenter.org/spotlight/.
The center will also hold a “Business Bites” event about website design, search-engine optimization and other related topics on Sept. 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Attendees can network and enjoy tasty “bites” a half-hour before the program begins. For more information, visit: www.millerbusinesscenter.org/bizbites/.
This year’s annual Women’s Expo will be held Oct. 5 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The event will showcase products from dozens of Long Island female entrepreneurs, including handmade goods, jewelry, specialty foods, clothing, art, pottery and other crafts.
