MONDAY: Factory orders for March from the Commerce Department. Earnings: Bethpage cable TV provider and Newsday owner Cablevision Systems, Melville health-care products distributor Henry Schein, Walt Disney.
TUESDAY: The Commerce Department posts the nation's March trade balance. Earnings: Port Washington shopping centers owner Cedar Realty Trust, Edgewood aircraft parts maker CPI Aerostructures.
WEDNESDAY: ADP issues its estimate of private-sector jobs created in April. Earnings: Lake Success natural foods seller Hain Celestial, New Hyde Park shopping centers owner Kimco Realty, Plainview LED tools maker Veeco Instruments, Twenty-First Century Fox.
THURSDAY:Jobless benefits claims for the week ended May 2 from the Labor Department. Earnings: Port Washington pharmaceuticals distributor Aceto, Medford medical tests maker Chembio Diagnostics, Garden City kitchenware seller Lifetime Brands, Long Beach payments processor Planet Payment, CA Technologies, CBS.
FRIDAY: The Labor Department releases the nation's employment situation for April. In March, 126,000 jobs were created, fewer than expected. Earnings: Lake Success shareholders document provider Broadridge Financial Solutions, Lake Success software maker Dealertrack Technologies.
