Denise Avolese, left, office manager and executive assistant at the Nassau-Suffolk Hospital Council, was named president of the board of the Association for Healthcare Administrative Professionals. She lives in Glen Head.
Fran Karliner, center, was named president of the Long Island chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. She is director of development for the Long Island Crisis Center in Bellmore and lives in Old Bethpage.
Nicholas Gigante of Massapequa, right, was named president of the New York State Association of Realtors. He is the president and broker/owner of RE/MAX Shores in Massapequa and Oceanside.
