Let's hope that possible precipitation on Thursday – Earth Day -- won’t dampen too much the enthusiasm of those employers who are mobilizing workers to get outdoors and do some good for the planet.

Take the team of about 75 staffers from CA, Inc.’s headquarters in Islandia. They’ll be heading out to Robert Moses State Park to pick up debris and plant dune grasses, with an eye to helping curb erosion. It’s just one of the company’s 15 global Earth Day initiatives, most involving weeding, planting and litter-removal. (We can wish better weather for those in the likes of Atlanta, Pittsburgh and Sydney, Australia.)

How about your workplace? Any Earth Day activities planned? We would love to hear from you.
