A CA Technologies executive has co-authored a new book on cloud-computing strategies and has begun a series of public appearances to talk about the findings in "Visible Ops Private Cloud: From Virtualization to Private Cloud in 4 Practical Steps."
Andi Mann, CA’s vice president of product marketing, took part in last week’s Cloud Slam 2011, in Mountain View, Calif.; and is to participate in an industry conference next month in Las Vegas, sponsored by the International Association of Information Technology Asset Managers.
CA, a business software maker, is based in Islandia.
Cloud computing refers to flexible subscription plans allowing companies to use – and pay for – variable amounts of data storage, software and other resources over the Internet, as needed.
