CA launches annual global charity initiative

Supporting charities from India to Peru — and in the United States — CA Technologies said this week it is kicking off "CA Together In Action", a monthlong global charitable program.

In New York State, CA said it will directly benefit the following charities:
*Grenville Baker Boys & Girls Club
*God's Love We Deliver
*PENCIL
*Npower
*Habitat for Humanity
*Education & Assistance Corp.
*Cohen Children's Medical Center
*Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Light the Night Walk

CA, based in Islandia, did not give detailed information on the form the contributions would take to these New York charities.

Overall, CA said, "efforts include cleanup of parks and beaches, mentoring children, building affordable housing and assisting in food banks which feed the hungry."

The initiative is an annual program.

Last year, CA said, its employees "set a program record with over 1,400 volunteers participating in more than 60 community projects around the world, representing over 6,800 volunteer hours given to help local organizations."

This year they want to do even more.
