The Islandia-based business software firm CA Technologies says it has won an award for its IdentityMinder program.
SC Magazine said its Best Identity Management award was based on the votes of its readers, who are mostly high-level information tech security executives working in finance, health care, education and government, the magazine said.
Criteria included how well the software works, how easily it can be managed and altered in scale, and how well the company serves its customers.
IdentityMinder helps companies securely identify each user, and provides varying levels of mainframe and cloud-computing access for employees, contractors, partners and customers, CA said in a Thursday news release.
In the release, CA quoted Illena Armstrong, editorial director of SC Magazine, saying, "our readers are on the front lines of information security, and they have recognized CA Technologies CA IdentityMinder as one of their key tools for securing their organization."
